NEW SPRING

Seattle is a city of balance. The towering offices of software powerhouses are incomplete without the imposing Olympic Mountains to the West, and Mt. Rainier and the Cascades to the East. In fact, the buildings pale in comparison. The staid strength of the evergreens that cover the state is punctuated by the fleeting, joyful bloom of cherry blossoms, arriving just when we need them most.

New Spring looks to emulate this balance; thus the evergreen & cherry blossom color scheme. It's about appreciating the beauty of the world, life, and the running we choose to do. It's about putting the stresses of everyday life in a box, and not letting them cloud our vision of the things we care about, the things that make life special. It's about remembering why we love running, and getting back to the basic joy of it, rather than always worrying how we'll get that next PR.

The bloom of spring that comes after a long, cloudy Seattle winter serves to remind us of all of that. It offers a chance for a new start, a chance at getting back to what matters. The fog is lifted, and we're here to make the most of it.
